With Desaiji, farmer near ichalkaranji,understanding how he successfully implements mixed cropping, growing organic sugarcane with turmeric, moong dal, okhra , chilli etc. He says that conventional farmers suffocate the normal sugarcane and overloahttps://ahandfulofsun.blogspot.com/2022/04/sahaj-samadhi.htmld mother earth by planting too many sugarcane saplings next to each other. There should atleast be a distance of nine feet in between each sugarcane sapling while planting. And there is no need to water sugarcane if right mixed cropping calendar is followed.With the impending #climate #change crisis , this is one of the most successful #climate#adaptation techniques.If only we understood the five elements of nature and how to balance them out.then farming would be a simple way of life. Desaiji has formed a group of 250 farmers and is doing some phenomenonal work. He treats his farm with his ayurveda formulations and gives his farms a lot of love. This area is drought ridden, but desaiji's farm is aplenty with water and his farming technique has made the water table rise in fact.
