Mother of all Rice! Forbidden Black Rice

Easy to cook. Not necessary to soak longtime. Water and cooking time required is similar to white rice. Cooked black rice is soft, palatable with a nutty taste. It cab be eaten like regular rice with dal, curd, as a sweet, porridge, pancakes, (cheela, Dosa) & noodles.
Recipe 1 :
Black Rice Salad:
Boil 1 cup black rice in 2-3 cups water. Chop cucumber, tomatoes, onions, coriander, celery , grated carrot, ginger, haldi. 1tbs. roasted mix seeds eg. flaxseeds, melon seeds, sesame seeds. Lemon and rock salt to taste. 1tbs mix mustard seeds, jeera, crushed peppers and curry leaves. Roast in olive oil or ghee. Mix everything. Serve without heating.

Recipe 2
Kheer:
Boil 1 cup rice without salt. Blend half the rice in a mixture with milk or water. Add 2 cups milk. Mix and cook. Add jaggery powder to taste and 1 tbs sundried raisins, Cardamom powder, saffron, nuts etc. serve hot or cooled.
